🇺🇸 Does the U.S. really hold 40% of all Bitcoin?



Yes, but here's the full picture:
As of August 2025, U.S.-based entities (retail investors, institutions, ETFs, and exchanges) collectively hold around 7.8 million $BTC- nearly 40% of the total circulating supply.

⚠️ But that doesn’t mean the U.S. government owns it.

U.S. government holdings are estimated at just 200K BTC (or even less), mainly from asset seizures. That’s only ~1% of total supply.

So while America dominates Bitcoin ownership, most of it is in private and institutional hands, not federal reserves.
